Both KMP 4100 models are suitable for accurate measurement of earth loop impedance at the origin and at various points throughout an electrical installation. They can also be used to measure the phase to earth loop impedance of exposed metalwork, for example light fittings and trunking using an external earth probe.

The KMP 4120DL and KMP 4118DL can also directly measure prospective short circuit current with automatic power factor correction.
